I am curious, did you have a filter for creating the beam effect on the lights, or they came out this way?

My candle burns at both ends
It will not last the night
But ah my foes and oh my friends
It gives a lovely light

I'm not sure why, but the original seems to sit better with me light-wise (due to the lesser exposure and flood of light resulting), but this is compositionally more correct in my mind. That said, the light burns in this are remarkable, just in some spots it gets to the point where it's too much so and the surrounds kind of lose their continuity due to it. However, that is only mostly on the right hand side foreground, and the rest of the shot seems to work quite well with such an exposure/ISO/aperture of choice.
The focus is great mate, and the focal length plays very well into your hands to give a nice feel overall to the photograph. No problems there from me
As always.. I'm a cropping nazi. There are some slight issues on the left hand side in the foreground, the second light closest to left of frame should have been either cropped into the frame, or right out of it soas to not let it escape into the border/outside of the shot. Also, I probably would have cropped the bottom up a bit, just so the diagonal lines formed by the red beams were directed to the corners, and kept your eyes circulating through the photo over and over because of it. That's only minor, and I'm really very nazi-ish on it so don't worry
In totality, a great photograph really. Perhaps either dropping the exposure by about 1/4 of the speed to reduce the burn slightly and adjusting some of the cropping would be in order, but not at all a bad shot compositionally or technically. I'd love to see what came of this on a really low aperture (say f/22 or something) using a fast ISO (like.. 400 or greater) for a few seconds with the ultra-wide lense
