The tree seems to have failed to reach out to god in its lifespan.

This was taken today at Altona back beach, in amongst the salt flats.

Wow... so desolate and lonely feeling. I love the duotone used here. Nice job.

Nice, I'm surprised you could get that kind of contrast from the horizon up to space.
I'm also just thankful you didn't go with a sepia tone. :P
emptiness....

great picture
I love the desaturated tones - adds to the dramatic feeling 8)

Mmm. I can really appreciate the significance of this shot, in addition to the beauty of it. The tonal values are amazing. Not only the texture of the tree bark, but also the swirls in the sky... that really gets me.

I'm all out of ideas when it comes to commenting on your work now. *sigh* I can't keep saying "good, great, excellent, fantastic" in different languages can I? I've either got to really love it or really hate it or read up more on photography. I think I'm gonna go for the last option. :faint:

Wonderful place, Altona.
Amazing shot. It looks like it's got a slight blue tone, which works really well.

Yeah a talk with a singaporean friend at work has really got me thinking twice about tone. I want to find more stuff to read about all of Ansell Adams work, and his pioneering in exposure :) but just the general guidance I received from him as been great so far :D
